I remember a thread here on FR about a year ago about the cops in Aurora, Colorado looking for a bank robber. It had an image of a young man with his hand up as he exited his vehicle, the barrel of a firearm pointed at his face by one of Aurora’s “finest.”
They closed down a street, and ordered scores of people to get out of their vehicles at gunpoint. Men, women and children had rifles and shotguns pointed at their faces and were forced to sit down on the side of the street. How elderly people were supposed to comply, and disabled younger people, I have no idea.
They caught the bank robber, but I couldn’t help but wonder at what potential cost. Perhaps it’s better to let a criminal escape that terrorize scores of innocent people and endanger their lives.
Sigh. Typo.
Last line should read, “than terrorize scores of innocent people,” not “that.”
