"For Cruz, Schwarzenegger, and a number of other potential candidates, the Natural Born Citizenship Clause raises a critical question: Is anyone born outside the United States constitutionally eligible to serve as president?""
(Excerpt) Read more at news.yahoo.com ...
What we really need now is a statutory definition of "natural born citizen". Does the person have to be born in a state? A US territory? How many citizen parents are needed? Is "natural born" a third class of citizen separate from naturalized and at birth, or is it just another wording for citizen at birth? What about people with multiple citizenships? I've heard lots of arguments both ways but no one as shown me a line in either the United States code or a definitive definition from English common law at the time of the Revolution.
Of course he is, NBC is a meaningless term now. FR,the courts have deemed it to be meaningless. And, Obama has a forged BC to back up his status, that is a lot more than Cruz or Arnold have.
SchwarzeneggerWhy do these nimrods keep bringing up that moron. He's naturalized citizen for pete's sake. And Cruz's mother was an American Citizen(1). Case closed.
(1)It's why I don't give a dam where Barry o'Mugabe was *born* his mother was an American citizen, the end.
Yes he is! Arnold was born in Hawaii, and as a child moved to Austria. Once Arnold figures out how to work a printer he'll be happy to show you the proof.
Yes, people born outside the US can be president.
It is about citizenship and Cruz is a US citizen.
Acyually, the “National Constitution Center” seems to be made up of the most remarkable enemies of the US Constitition. It houses the Annenberg Foundation, it calls Obama’s speeches “pivotal” amd the trustees and board are Bill Clinton and GHW Bush. And on ond on.
Standard Dem procedure: invade, infest and take over.
Arny became a citizen, Cruz was a citizen at birth
Does Sarah believe that the Kenyan in the White Hut is Constitutionally qualified to be President?
To many he is not eligible because he is the best candidate.
No, the law that was enacted in the late 1800s states that anyone who has a parent of natural citizenship is eligible.
In Obama’s case it was his mother. Cruz is eligible.

Oh, please. What is your motivation for debating this question in 2013 on FR? There is no worthy purpose for conservatism to debate this question ... added to that fact that it has been done a THOUSAND TIMES already!
If you want to debate about Ted Cruz ... how about Ted Cruz vs. Ricky Santorum, and who has done more harm?
Now, now everyone. Yahoo news is just doing their investigative reporting like they did with Zer0.
It has been settled in the opposite direction from your claim.
All your restatements to the contrary, it’s settled.
It is settled here on FR.
Repeating it ad nauseum is like yelling into a hurricane wind.
DOES NOT MAKE IT TRUE.
Why do you like Ted Cruz if you think he is so STUPID - albeit a wildly successful student of the Constitution, attorney, Solicitor General of Texas, clerk for Chief Justice William Rehnquist and arguer of successful cases before the Supreme Court - that YOU know he isn’t eligible but HE knows he is.
To be consistent, you should not say you like him BUT...
Get it?
He’s either a liar or stupid if one tries to follow your “logic”.
Yet you like him?
That makes your screeds ridiculous.
Do they have a comment section?
And just in case nobody remembers, it was the Democrats who brought up
the Birther issue from the Hillary Camp in 2008 concerning Obama.
So, Don't let your leftist friends forget that.
Oh its optional, sort of like its optional to pee on an electric fence.
