You could be right, but I don’t know if I would be so quick to blame the mothers. I think in most cases of privilege and wealth — and even for “regular” people — it’s more a case of the child never growing up completely, living in a perpetually rebellious state, always having to prove themsevles independent from the parent, though in reality they probably rely on said parent for money, status, etc.

I’ve known some of the children of the ubersuccessful. The ones I knew are 50-60-70, today. What haunts many of them is the knowledge that they couldn’t cut it had they not been born into privilege. Huge self-esteem issues predominate. They work hard to perfect a facade of accomplishment to combat this. They rebel and use their money and contacts to promote ideologies that aim to destroy the very basis of their own existence. It is very tiring to be around.

Note that Patti blames the Republicans for 80% of the problems with zer0care. At 61, she is still an adolescent.
