Gun Trusts and the ATF - This Week on Gun Talk Radio

Mandeville, LA – It’s a new product for cleaning firearms, proposed changes to gun trusts, and more, this week on Tom Gresham's Gun Talk® Radio, the original nationally-syndicated radio talk show about guns and the shooting sports.

Rifle coach and competitive shooter Michele Makucevich fell in to an additional career by chance, after using Bore-tips by Swab-its to clean her rifles. Now in the technical sales department with parent company Super Brush, Makucevich drops by Sunday to explain why Bore-tips, the washable and reusable foam swabs, are such an effective tool for cleaning firearms. Learn more about this new product at http://www.bore-tips.com and http://www.swab-its.com/.

Back in 2010, Dave Matheny opened up Hill Country Class 3, and subsequently, the online version called Silencer Shop, with the “goal of simplifying the NFA buying process and providing consistent, reliable support.” He visits this week to discuss the ATF’s latest proposed legislation that would require more background information when the sale is to someone through a corporation or legal trust, among other changes. The 90-day comment period opened in late August. Find out more about Silencer Shop at http://www.silencershop.com/.

David Goldman, the Gun Trust Lawyer, also stops in Sunday to discuss the ATF’s proposed changes, and what you can do to weigh in. His petition to the ATF can be read here: http://www.guntrustlawyer.com/2013/10/gun-trust-lawyer-david-goldman-2.html.

And don’t forget to enter to win the latest giveaway at Gun Talk and “Build It with Brownells”! The Grand Prize package includes a deluxe completion kit for an upper receiver. Each week, ten lucky First Prize winners will win one of four First Prizes: a Magna-Tip screwdriver for Glocks, a handgun carry bag, a 1911 bushing wrench, or an AR-15 bolt radius scraper. Enter before November 1st at http://www.guntalk.com/win!

In its 19th year of national syndication, Tom Gresham's Gun Talk radio show airs

Two mind-blowing stupid things I heard claimed by Gresham today:

#1 If you use a laser, you have to adjust it so that you don't see it when looking down your gun in a firefight -- it will distract you from the iron sights!

#2 The mini-14 is a really accurate rifle!

I'm sure I would have heard other, stupider claims but there is only so much of this ass I can stomach.

The older Mini 14’s were kind of crappy, but I think the newer ones are pretty good.

Armed agents seize records of Washington Times reporter

The documents, some which chronicled her sources and her work at the Times about problems inside the Homeland Security Department, were seized under a warrant to search for unregistered firearms and a “potato gun” suspected of belonging to her husband, Paul Flanagan, a Coast Guard employee.

WTF?

Bore-Tips look like tampons, minus the fuse. Haven’t tried them yet, but I will get some and give ‘em a workout.

I got my M57 and K31 bayonets in the mail this week. This is a lousy photo, but they look really good. I think the K31 bayonet may be unissued, since it doesn't have a serial number on it.

I got two M57’s from Robert RTG and the K31 from Classic Firearms. One of the M57’s looks pretty old, and the other is practically like-new.
