When General Motors shut down Pontiac, it left a lot of enthusiasts wondering why. It was primed with a lineup of powerful, rear-wheel drive models, and seemed like it had a bright future ahead of it. It turns out that GM killed it on government orders, according to former GM Vice Chairman Bob Lutz.

Yup...no respectable Chinaman would be caught driving a Japanese Lexus...The Buick lineup matched Lexus...
Like no respectable conservative would get caught dead driving a GM union build POS Chevy...

No elected official should have such power to derail and retool an economy to their own taste.
Skrewed in AmeriKa is no way to run a shop.
I’ve also wondered why Pontiac was dropped. Who was the brilliant genius who made the decision to drop a probably solvent line? I’ll bet you can’t find out!
$ years ago, I bought a 2 year old Vibe with 145,000 miles. I’ve put about 100,000 more on it since then. Tires, battery, brakes and a small heater fan resistor is all I’ve done to it. My wife has a Pontiac Montana with about 110,000 and my daughter just bought a Vibe with 125,000.
At teh least, the Vibe should have moved to Chevrolet.
The Vibe was derived from the Corola and built at the Toyota\GM plant in Ca. It was essentially a rebadged Toyota.
i know Actually the Matrix
“You buy into the Travant model of manufacturing, thats on you.”
Just what is the “Travant Model?” Maybe you are thinking of the East German Trablant? If you are, I suggest you come take a ride with me. There is no Trablant in the new Avalanche. I am not going to allow politics to dictate my needs where my transportation is concerned. I mean more Jews drive Mercedes and BMW’s ( they are known as Nazi Thunderbirds) that any other ethnic group. So if they are o.k. driving cars made by the progeny of those who used gas chambers on them, why shouldn’t I buy a car made by a company that was bailed out by our government?
Red Skin.......
I guess the red feather would have gotten past them but certainly not the Redskinned Indian..
given that under the skin they are as RED as can be,, seems to have escaped thier notice.
“There were 4 cylinder Camaros in the 80s too. And Mustangs.”
I don’t think they weighed in at the porcine 3800 lbs these do. The Mustang was a sports car. (Unlike what it is now.)
I thought the aztec one of the ugliest cars ever and never even rode in one.
one could tear through....a lot of green with that puppy....FORESTS...and a good pile o cash..
Valerie Jarret?
“Matrix”
My bad. You are correct.
True the Camaros didn’t weigh the same. Nor did the 4 bangers have 256 horses. And I drove one of those 4 cylinder Stangs ... far from a sports car if you ask me.
My brother was dumb enough to buy a 4 cylinder Mustang. What a joke. That car was scary slow. It was a four speed. I can’t imagine how bad an automatic was.
