We need your continuing support to keep FR going strong. With Obama pulling out all the stops in fundamentally transforming America from a free country to a communist state (and the GOP-e stepping aside for him), we're going to need FR NOW more than ever!!
FR is funded solely by the donations made by the people who love and use it. We sell no advertising or merchandise. We have no corporate sponsors or sugar daddies and accept no government subsidies. This means no annoying commercial ads, no ad tracking, and no pop ups!! And no outside influences trying to pressure or sway or control us. It's just us freedom-loving grassroots conservatives using and funding one of our favorite and most useful news and activism organizations.

Free Republic has (GASP!!!!!) employees, taxes, rents, equipment maintenance, and more expenses, as does any other for-profit business.
The goals of the quarterly FReepathons are not going to make any the employees or Jim Robinson (courtesy ping) rich anytime soon, or ever, for that matter. Free Republic is bare bones, and the money raised is NOT THAT MUCH for the people and expenses involved.
You have your nerve coming here and trying to reduce donations with your negative anti-freeper pap and nonsense, and on the FReepathon thread to boot. Jim Robinson does far more than run this website. I’m not going to enlighten you, for as a long-time FReeper you should know by now all the work that he does for Freedom and Conservatism.

Our furbaby was always bringing us live presents. He enjoyed chasing them with his humans, bunnies, chipmunks. We’d check Nimhs mouth before we’d let him in and then get lax about it. Then we moved into an old farmhouse and he didn’t need to go outside to get toys. So he’d bring us a live mouse at 2am to “play” with. He could “mew” with it in his mouth so his humans would suspect nothing until we’d reach out to pet him in the dark and realize we were petting his toy. Then the yelling would start and we were off to the races. He loved it. Woke up the whole house.
I've had a lot of cats, most of them were doofuses and a laugh a minute.
Currently I have a cat that stores his toys in my shoes but so far no live or formerly live animals.
