You need to study a bit of history. Polyamory has existed since time immemorial. It’s in the Old Testament. Look it up.

You are not a libertarian—you are an anarchist. The Founding Fathers did not try to change the structure of society but the mad dog Jacobins of the French Revolution did and we saw what happened—insanity and a blood bath.

Which moral code? The Catholic one? The Buddhist one? The Mormon one?

In a word, no. The State only rightfully exists to protect the Natural Rights and property of the citizen. Nothing more.

These emotionally damaged and confused kids will go to school with other kids and spread their dysfunction. How would you explain to a six year old who comes home from school and asks her parents why her friend has a mommy and two daddies or any combination. This is child abuse. Physical abuse is not the only kind of abuse, there is also pyschological and mental abuse as well as spiritual abuse of children. Children are not just machines they have feelings and a spirit.

So if there was state sanctioned marriage people would not get involved in these kinds of arrangements?

So hasn’t human sacrifice. You don’t get that God created morality and that is the difference between our points of view. If you want to bring back every kind of corruption that has ever existed just because they did it too then you have no concept of the insanity that you are bringing about on society. You have enjoyed the benefits of living in a fairly sane society up to now but that is about to change. Your children, if you ever will have any will not have the benefits that we have enjoyed. Don’t you see how society has become increasingly disfunctional during the past 40 years? This came about with views like yours which are liberal views. In the sixties everything was questioned and now we have a society that has 50 million abortions, millions of kids born out of wedlock, a drug culture out of control and many unhappy people. Morality means something.

Oh yes we do—it was Christian from the begining. There may have been an occasional athiest but the culture was Christian. Look around where you live, you will see Christian churches throughout the town that you live in, those churches are all over the country and have been there since the sixteen hundreds. You don’t have to be a Christian but you cannot take our culture away from us either. Every country has to have an ethic and belief system to build around.

“Every country has to have an ethic and belief system to build around.”

Indeed. Ours used to be Liberty. Now every nanny state busybody on the right and the left is far too ready to point guns at people to make sure they live their lives in ways they approve of.

You’re no better than Obama.

So not true. Our Founding Fathers were informed by many centuries of Christian beliefs as well as common sense.

I think I had this conversion with you a few months back but you were using another name. Not sure but it sounds very much like that old debate.
