And right over to the west coast of the US. Won’t that be great.

I don’t understand how/why Japan was chosen for the Olympics. Between the earthquakes and the radioactive mess...who the hey wants to spend anytime there as a tourist/athlete?

Oh they’re going to be fine. And we won’t be seeing any radiation from Fukushima on the West Coast.

Those poor people have puckered up so tight that the next time one of them breaks wind every dog in the neighborhood will come running.

According to this they are getting a typhoon right now...lol

First it started out as many of the smaller earthquakes we had the past month but then it became quite intense for a couple seconds and things were rattling and shifting.
I could hear and see people waking up but noone went out because it’s heavily raining because of the typhoon.

Yeah, that's the second typhoon. :-) The third one is east of the second one. It's weakening now but on the 23rd: On 23 at 11 a.m. EDT/1500 UTC, Lekima's powerful sustained winds were near 140 knots/161.1 mph/259.3 kph.

Edgar Cayce said in his predictions Japan would sink into the ocean.

Buy Japanese, time is running out!

Yeah wow I surprised to learn that lekima was still going...lol but the storm hitting them now is francisco or something like that.

Lekima nor any hurricane gave them super typhoon winds though.

Btw, we’ve got a couple of X-flares inbound.

The X flares did not have a CMEs with them and are not direct.

Japan was chosen because the IOC noted that while Istanbul is a nice place - and it is - Istanbul lacks the infrastructure for an Olympic Games; they would’ve had to build 70% of the venues, whereas Tokyo has the infrastructure more or less in place.

At least, until either Fukushima goes totally pear-shaped and leaves the east coast of Japan an uninhabitable nuclear wasteland, or Godzilla shows up.

Which at the rate things are going, and thanks to TEPCO’s utter incompetence, is a distinct possibility.

No, but interesting that a cat 5 was blowing and no one in the news felt it worth reporting. I wouldn't wish to be in its path. For news nowadays, we have to turn to alternative sources like FR. ;-)
