Mayor Rahm Emanuel on Wednesday called federal prosecutors efforts to crack down on gun crime horrible in Chicago when compared to other cities like New York or Los Angeles.
But that does not absolve us from our responsibility. It doesnt absolve Springfield. There is a lot that needs to be fixed specifically on guns, both on the prosecutorial side, the gun prevention side and other aspects, [Chicago Mayor Rahm] Emanuel said.
Sens. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) and Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) have been encouraging the [federal prosecutor] to take on street crime, too.

And that federal prosecutor should tell Rahm Emanuel to try cleaning out that Chicago political machine with their useless gun control laws that have utterly failed to protect Chicago's citizens.
Once gun prices stabilize, an inexpensive if not great quality .22LR pistol should sell for about $150. A box of .22LR ammo, again not great quality, should sell for about $10.
Thus, if anyone can raise just $10,000, either by donations or raffles, whatever, they can buy about 50 guns and ammo (incl. tax) for 50 poor households. Not expensive at all if you consider that the starting pay for a policeman averages some $40,000 a year, and more in the cities.
This also means that 200 homes can protect themselves for a decade for just one years’ wage of a policeman. It seems too good an opportunity to pass up.
Of course, if they kill any armed robber or other violent criminal, it will save the price of trial and incarceration, which costs about $1,000,000 per criminal per decade. Which is a big cost savings for taxpayers.
It also protects the property and lives of any other potential victims of that criminal if he got away.
I agree, the Feds haven't been investigating, arresting and prosecuting anywhere near enough Chicago city employees for their organized criminal activities, searching their homes and confiscating their weapons.
Gosh, I agree with him-federal gun control efforts are really bad. I think state efforts at gun control to be even worse.

No matter what the issue is, murder, 0bamacare, the economy, "Arab Spring," etc., democRATS always blame someone or something else. The catastrophe is never a result of their policies or actions. The weather, tsunami, Snowden, the TEA Party, global warming, etc...oh, I forgot George Bush is the culprit.
Baraq H. 0bama and the democrat party are a danger to the Republic.

“gun ... prevention” ??? Preventing guns? You can’t make this stuff up.
crackdown-—gun prevention-—needs to be fixed-—on the ground-—going forward———one only needs to know about a dozen catch phrazes to be able to speak demorat, Just string them out and sound serious. But I can’t figger out just what Rahmbo actually wants? Maybe he could actually give out a few meaningful orders to bust some heads among the gangbangers. That’s one of the things Chief Kelly does in NY.
Not only that, these are Obama’s sons they are sending to prison
Rahm: Help my entire belief system is fake and reality is hurting me!
What a racist. Thanks Q-ManRN.
It just is like their voters who do not see the link between abortion, welfare, homosexuality and the sticker shock of Obamacare or the seeking of protection from terrorists and illegals in their war against Christians. Somehow it is all blamed on us provoking it all.
Federal prosecutors can be quite helpful if the local police and detectives sit down and they all agree on a plan to go after felons caught with guns and people trafficking stolen guns.
But they aren’t easy cases to build....and dealing with the feds is a paperwork and admin nightmare if you involve the FBI....I can only imagine it is just as bad dealing with the BATFE.
LOL - ‘Springfield’ the capital of Illinois has NOTHING whatsoever to do with the corrupt democrat cesspool that is ‘Chicago’. Good try Rahm ... you’re in idiot.
