An Arab-American community activist from the Chicago suburbs was arrested Tuesday on immigration charges for allegedly lying about her conviction for a deadly bombing more than 40 years ago in Israel.
Rasmieh Yousef Odeh, 66, spent a decade in an Israeli prison for her involvement in a 1969 attack that involved bombs planted at a crowded Jerusalem supermarket and a British consulate, according to a federal indictment. Only one bomb — one of two placed at the supermarket — exploded, killing the two people and wounding several others. Israeli authorities have said the attacks were planned by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.
An Israeli military court sentenced Odeh to life in prison in 1970, but she was released 10 years later in a prisoner exchange with the Popular Front. Israel released 76 prisoners in exchange for an Israeli soldier captured in Lebanon, according to Odeh's indictment.
But U.S. authorities accuse Odeh of failing to mention her conviction and time in prison on immigration papers when she came to the U.S. from Jordan in 1995 and before she became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2004, the indictment says.

I wouldn't be surprised if an Arab-American community activist from Evergreen Park had made the acquaintance of a community organizer from the south side of Chicago. Maybe he can intervene in this injustice.

2) Strip her of U.S. citizenship.
3) Deport her to Sweden - even if she claims she is not form there.
I can’t remember, was the Popular Front more closely connected with the Peoples Front for Judea, the Judean Peoples Front, or the Judean Popular People’s Front?

Usually strenuous immigration restriction efforts are restricted to dangerous alien elements such as German homeschoolers.
Actually the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, PFLP, was an effective group back in the day. Which is when she belonged. They were the only, at least only effective largely Christian palestinian group, at the start. Carried off some spectacular air hijackings and airport attacks, fair to say they birthed that strategy for Arabs. They occasionally cooperated with the Bader Meinhoff gang, not Arabs, but fellow communists. Insignificant Muslim group now. Various explanations how that came about, some would attribute it to the honor given them by Yasser Arafat. Having joined the PLO, during the 1982 Israeli invasion ole Yasser, under deep cover in Beirut, gave them the honor of meeting the Israeli’s moving north. Didn’t go all that well, though I’ll speculate Yasser figured they did what infidels are good for, die.
BTW, I'll speculate she won't be deported. I doubt Jordan wants her back, and though I'm sure there are places that would take her, Sweden included, I doubt the Justice Department will be looking very hard. If there's no where to send her, she stays here. If there's somewhere she wants to go, different matter.
