No death penalty in Assachusetts. This fits the usual template of murder in Red England...community expresses shock and outrage, followed by traditional candlelight vigil, then the story is cast into the ash bin of history...wouldn't surprise me to see the little b*stard out on the streets in a few years.
As I said yesterday; they should be building a gallows on school property instead of p*ssing away time on their pointless bandwagon vigils.
Boston talk host Howie Carr: “this is why we need a death penalty in Mass.”—yet you think that would ever happen? One year voters did approve it but it was overturned by the state legislature when one Peabody (next to Danvers) lawmaker, John Slattery was urged to change his vote. As I had said, Slattery Will Get You Nowhere.
But we are making progress; a recent law allows those of Chism’s age to be tried as an adult (and there are efforts to do this) especially if it’s a savage crime. Described as a mere child by his attorney, but he was not too young to do this crime. (Those convicted as juvies get to get out at 21 I think...)
Getting back to death penalty, one year a 10 yr old boy named Jeffrey Curley was lured into a car by 2 pedophiles who promised they could get him a bike (they had stolen his, I think). He was killed and sodomized AFTER HIS DEATH then his body was placed into a container and thrown into a river nr the NH/ME border. At first his father Robert was for the death penalty but he later changed his mind.
I feel bad for Robert Curley and I know there are some who object to the DP on moral grounds. I am not among them.
