Wait — wait — wait....a college student buying a $350 belt working part time...uhm...I wonder if he’s getting a govt grant/load - made some type of excuse to have his college paid for...the only thing I paid $350 for when I was in college was my BOOKS!!!!!

times are changing or people’s priorities are...

Maybe his parents are wealthy and pay for his college, while he works a job to buy things for himself. If he has the money to buy a $350 belt, that really is his business; not the store’s nor the police.

He could have saved up in small increments for months, skipped meals, etc. I admire someone with good taste who saves up to buy one high quality item that will last for a decade and never go out of style.

I am an American. It’s my right to purchase any stupid thing that I have the cash for. If I decide to put my money into video games and soda pop instead of savings and salads, that’s my right.

This kid wanted something, saved up and bought it. He shouldn’t have been harassed for it.

But I do agree that we haven’t heard the whole story.
