The White House is meeting with CEOs of health plans on Wednesday, according to two insurance industry sources.
The insurance executives are meeting with Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett and chief of staff Denis McDonough, the sources told POLITICO on Tuesday evening. The White House didn’t immediately confirm the meeting.
Insurers have a lot riding on the success of Obamacare enrollment — which is being stymied by pervasive technical problems with the federal website, HealthCare.gov.
HHS has announced stepped-up efforts to resolve the signup problems. The White House hasn’t announced how many people have successfully enrolled, although insurers have described it as a trickle.
One insurance industry source did say Tuesday that although the volume of enrollees remains low, the files coming over from HHS are now accurate. Some health plans have reported getting incorrect, garbled and duplicative files.
Right now these people are the only ones that can pull the plug on Obamacare. If they leave, the law is finished.
Barry promised them that ObamaCare would have them rolling in the dough. I don’t think it’s working out.

Jarrett: “And don’t forget. Make sure you get that information about gun-owners and conservatives. We cannot allow them to interfere with my plans.”
I thought it said: “White House meeting with insurance thiefs”...

Jarrett and McDonough....looks like another strong arm. What else could it be ? Insurance companies actually have him on the ropes.

Any business leader who was foolish enough to deal with these commies gets what he deserves. The bad part is that all the consumers get to share in the suffering.

Interesting that the administration's attendees are McDonough and Jarrett(!). No Obama. No Sebelius. Nobody from the tech side (meaning there aren't any questions about the system -- suggesting a consensus that it's already a failure).
Big stuff afoot.

Right now, they’re trying to plug the leaks on actually enrollment numbers that are coming out of those insurance companies.
As they are finding out now, not really. The people desperate to sign up will be the enormously expensive pre-existing condition people. They would have expected that. But they were promised an army of young people to overpay for their insurance, and it may end up that young people just pay fines instead. Fines go to the IRS, not the insurance companies. That limited amount of freedom could doom these companies.
