I think that will be felt more inside the govt nightmare. Doctors able to have a practice that doesn't require govt approval will probably be pretty happy doing what they love.
My understanding is this time it runs till March 15th, but after that it will only be from Oct-Dec.
You got that right,,
That's why I applied for a Christian Healthcare Co-op with a $10,000 annual family contribution. If something big happens then it will be submitted for sharing.
“What about those who are Christians but do not attend church?”
King Obama has decided that you must satisfy certain hurdles _within_ a religion to be considered a legitimate member of that religion.
But remember, Obama has also ruled that his law respecting the establishment of officially recognized religions, does not mean it is a law respecting an establishment of religion, or the free exercise thereof. It’s complicated,,
Obama is the constitution, Obama is the supreme court, Obama is everything we need./
I feel obligated to avoid supporting an Obamacare plan.
Abortion, socialism, etc..
So I’ve pretty much decided to jump on to Samaritan ministries (one of the 3 plans listed here).
Did a fair amount of research already.
I assume that there are lawsuits re: 14th Amend. Equal Protection Under The Law.
The “way we’ve always done things” is one of the absolute worst reasons to keep doing anything....
This is precisely the kind of model that will emerge. Maybe on a small scale for those smart enough to figure a way out...or maybe on a larger scale if Obama Care crashes as the most intelligent way to handle these things...
Well do they? I mean, if this is a shared ministry....do they? Or is it insurance with some underwriting guidelines? And how do we establish those guidelines? Should they recondsider them? It's obviously a hybrid....
Afterall, no one thinks that you Amish are perfect in your religious observance, just like anyone else.
We do like having Medi-share instead of the traditional insurance. I could have obtained regular insurance but the prices have jumped so much the past few years I wanted to try something else. If you’re all healthy to start with there isn’t any problem joining. If you have pre-existing conditions you may still be able to join but you will be assigned a health coach to get you back on the right track. It is the total opposite approach of going to the doctor all the time and getting a pill to fix whatever ails you. Being on Medi-share makes you very aware of the costs.
The best part is being exempt from Zero-care as I call it.
I think the Amish have an exemption from Obamacare.
Lets hope they stay in business.
Do you speak German? Are you a member of the Church? Where is your wife, your beard, your children and do you know how to handle a buggy? Plus, who are your parents and are you an accepted part of the community? Nope. Then you can’t be Amish.
It’s not the ‘reason’ we continue. It is what we chose to do, early on. It has worked out very well for us & never created a conflict, so why “fix” it. (statement, not a question)
Except, now, it, a fabrictation with no basis in reality, is keeping you from perhaps, and I stress perhaps, escaping Obama Care. It’s certainly causing you to limit your options unnecessarily.....probably limits a lot in your life that you don’t even realize.
It also doesn’t say anything about not being able to apply a financial penalty, ie confiscatory compounding interest penalty. If you don’t pay the interest penalty then they will use that as a way to get around the law since it is a secondary issue.
Oh for Pete’s sake. C. Edmund, I did not say that we would not be joining a Health Sharing Ministry. I said that I wished that the Catholic Church had one.
It’s very disagreeable to me to be pushed by anyone. How we choose to conduct our life is none of your business.
Kindly stop trolling me.
