I wouldn't be surprised if Grayson has some history of real violence somewhere along the way. The symbolism of the KKK cross burning may be a projection of his own violent thoughts upon his scapegoat, the Tea Party.

Some posters made an excellent analogy to Grascum and the Westboro Baptist Church. There’s been lots of speculation as to whether Fred Phelps himself is a closet homosexual, given his so called church’s legendary incessant hatred of homosexuality. Using this line of thought, a**holes like Grayson who throw the race card at anyone with a different view must be closet racists themselves. Istead of coming to terms with his own racist attitudes, he needs to project them on others, and the TEA Party is a perfect target.
