According to the BLS household survey, part-time jobs fell 594,000 in September while full-time workers were up 691,000.

This was one hopeful nugget in an otherwise lackluster jobs report.

Workers are considered to be "part time" if they work under 35 hours a week.

Earlier this summer, when part-time numbers looked like they might be on the rise, some speculated that the shift was due to the employer mandate in the Affordable Care Act.

I figure if it’s a government agency then, like the IRS, EPA, NSA, et al.—it has been tainted by Barry Sauron, so I’m not going to waste any more time with it.
But here’s their site: http://www.bls.gov/cps/lfcharacteristics.htm

Sorry feds, but you made your beds. We trust you even less now.

ABC News just blamed the poor jobs numbers on the shutdown.

Somebody needs to tell ABC the shutdown didn't start until October 1, and the jobless numbers were for September.

A poster by the name of Rodger discredited the author's assertion: school starts in September, students quit their part-time summer jobs. A drop in part-time workers is apparent in each and every September in the graph.

Bureau of Labor Statistics. According to HOUSEHOLD DATA, Table A-9. Selected employment indicators, Full-time Jobs fell 560k while Part-time Jobs increased 702k. According to the Non-seasonally adjusted data (NSA).

But if we used Seasonally adjusted data (SA), Full-time Jobs rose 691k while Part-time Jobs decreased 594k.

When the powers that be don’t like the numbers, they can just apply one of many possible “Adjustments” and POOF! All is well!

Meet the Author :
Name: Steven Perlberg
Year: 2013
Major: Political Science, Anthropology
Campus Involvement: Cast and Crew, WashU Political Review, Beta Theta Pi Fraternity

The author of this article publishes as " Business Insider"
Considering a 2013 graduation date , it is highly unlikely that he has had any business expierience, much less as a "Business Insider" .
Obviously he is looking for a poly sci placement as a statistician , since ,in the photo, he is trying to count to four .
A mathametician or statistician he is NOT !
A political shill ,.. probably !
