My overall sense, right from day one, was it was created by people who had never created a commercial database application before," said FMS Software developer Luke Chung.
Chung looked over the site and was stunned by the code and the cost - by some estimates, perhaps $200 million.
Chung continued, At $200 an hour, that would be a million man hours, 5,000 man years. I don't think they had time to use 5,000 man years. So I don't know where the money went. I don't know what these people were doing. There're not that many web pages. I don't get it! Where'd the money go?"

Not only does Amazon do it much better, but they’re incredibly short-staffed. I’ve had a couple head-hunters and two programmers - independently - try to get me to interview there (I quit my job as an IT Director in Feb and live about 4 blocks away from Amazon’s South Lake Union campus - there’s like...30 of their programmers in my building)
I thought it was odd - yes, I’m that good but, I’m expert at the SMB level, not global enterprise - so I poked around Amazon’s carreer page and did a search for “manager” in Seattle: I don’t know what it is right now but 1 1/2 months ago my query netted 72 pages of returns will 20 hits per page.
Yes...they’re doing the job they do, as well as they do it, 1400 managers short. God knows how many general staff they’re shy of.
They’re able to function because, from day one, Bezos empowered the staff to make decisions. Many of Amazon’s features - like SuperSaver - were initiated by programmers who are allowed to use resourses without approval to put ideas together and present them to management, as opposed to having management decide to do it and farm it out for development.
Good luck doing that with a governmental organisation.
Just check democrat books-—it’ll turn up. This whole deal is reminding me a a Dilbert episode awhile back: Pointy haired boss says the company just took the bid to put in a nationwide wireless system. Dilbert says-—but we don’t have wireless capability. Pointy haired boss says—How hard can it be to not string wires?
It’s pretty obvious the Kenyan’s crew strung more BS than anything else.
Time for an investigation. Probably a large chunk of money that got “lost”. Democrats can lose money with no accountability.
Slush fund? You mean like TARP? Nah that’s never been done before——
TARP was nothing, remember the “Stimulus”?
"A million here, a million there - pretty soon your're talkin' serious money ..."
Pay attention people, this is the point i’ve been trying to make from the beginning.
We have seen the behavior re: exchange of citizens personal information on a huge scale already.
The left loves its databases and is known, through Google, Facebook, others to use it to the full.
Maybe those more IT knowledgable can search re: what happened to info re: Canada gun registry fail and backtrack on all the campaign, donor or otherwise linked companies working on this.
Follow the money to discover who and what was funded and you will discover the true ObamaCare agenda and objectives. Once you cut through the graft and corruption that is.
Political slushfunds
as obvious as a blue sky
I wondered the same thing.
How many of the obamacare website programmers were paid by CGI but REALLY worked on his re-election campaign database project instead?
How much of the obamacare website money really ended up IN his election campaign coffers instead.
This ^. And also that ^.
And what of international legal murk, with this being a Canadian company?
I have a lib Facebook friend (girl)...she voted for Obama TWICE...and is furious about Obamacare, plus the WWII Memorial episode.
Bingo.
...Yeah....it had advanced features like all the security checks and balances all turned off....
So it would take small donations (and big ones) with multiple combinations of names...addresses...3 digit security code and expiration date..
...maybe they hired a team of Australian Aboriginal programmers.....who count ...
One....Two.....Many.
I’m trying to imagine the level of boiling anger when people start losing loved ones, directly due to corrupt and convoluted Obama Care..
Look.
Understand this.
The country has been completely taken over in a bloodless coup (that will, invariably, become a bloody reprisal on the citizens). The money all went to the Democrat voting machine. No matter how many liberals are incensed and will never vote Democrat again, the money that will pour into 2014 will buy the Democrat seats. Sure-fire Republican districts will mysteriously go Democrat.
Get a passport and an exit plan.
Once the Democrats cement the 2014 elections, and have supermajorities in the House and Senate, I give the country about 1 year until the whole house of cards comes tumbling down, including a dissolution of the United States into a couple of distinct new countries. They will all be communist, outright.
Get a passport and an exit plan.
People were boiling mad at Stalin. At Pol Pot. Lotta good it did them.
