Graham Colson, an area resident for 15+ years who has been to Keene Pumpkin Fest for just as long, said the presence of snipers was unprecedented. He was able to take the above image of a two person sniper team on the rooftop of the Keene Apartments building overlooking Roxbury & Central Square earlier today.
KPD Confirms: "The pictures you put on your website were police officers."

Didn’t I read on FR earlier this year that the Keene PD obtained a MRAP?
Of course, the more I think about it, this is more likely another small demo (like the USDA letter on EBT).
The reason is that these sniper teams wanted the public to see them.
So you think this is justifiable use of "law enforcement"?
God help us.
Would not surprise me at all.
Good grief!
This is America, not some third world dictatorship.
At least have them identifiable as officers.
The late “El President for Life” of Venezuela put snipers on the roof of the presidential palace when the people protested against his first overthrow of the legitimate government.
Ah dangit, missed the first!
Yeah, a red jacket kinda stands out.
“Yeah, but you left out that they usually try not to be visible...don’t they?”
Your talking about military people who have to worry about return fire. These are thugs in blue who want to be seen to spread the terror.
I believe the solution to police militarization is simple. We need a Federal law which requires every on duty law enforcement officer, from federal to state to municipal, to wear a pink uniform with a ruffled lace collar. Said uniform may not have any metallic accoutrements other that sidearm and handcuffs. Tasers, expandable batons and bullet resistant vests will be banned by the legislation.
Before the badge-lickers come weaseling out of the woodwork, yes, the purpose is to make the job riskier. Don’t like it? Find another line of work.
If the NSA intercepted something, the rifle would not be on the ground between their legs.
Yeah, “Free Americans” was sort of inside humor. Don’t worry, my writing skill improves with each book.
I agree there are quite a few leftists.
At the same time, extreme animosity toward police has always been a leftist thing.
I find too much nihilism here now.

Had to do a bit of searching to find out that the Keene Pumpkin Fest is in Keene, New Hampshire.
Good grief! This little village in New Hampshire, with about 25,000 total population, needs snipers on rooftops during their celebrations?
bookmarked for later
