Rule #1 when responding to ANY reporter’s question:

“Never accept the premise of their question!”

It means they’ve already written their agenda driven story and only want a sound bite from you, to pretend it was your idea.

Quote from above - I saw some interviews of Ted Cruz and he does this all the time. His initial response is that “I don't agree with the premise of your question”.

As a top national debater in College, to a (real) editor of the Harvard Law Review, to Supreme Court Clerk, to a Solicitor who argued many times before the Supreme Court, this guy is the real deal.

That is why they all are trying desperately to shut him down now. But, the more you see and hear him, the more common sense you here. There is an all out effort right now to de-legitimize him.

He has 5 more years in the Senate (unless he seeks another job...). Not going to work.
