Won't work. Cruz will be a senator for at least 5 more years, and he has real power in that position. Power to disrupt the liberal agenda. He wasn't going to get a chairmanship anyway.

Further, Cruz is the real deal. Outlier intelligence and likability. Great debater, and has no problem with the media. This is what his enemies see and fear.
