That wasn’t racism, that’s just the way Bostonians treat everybody even family.
Back in the 70's,when the Oakland A's were dominating baseball I saw a part of an interview with about a half dozen A's players,two or three were white and two or three were black.They were complaining about what a bum Charlie Finley was and at one point one of the black players said something like "Charlie Finley's the only person who's ever treated me like a n*gger" and at least one of the other black players nodded his head in agreement.At that point one of the white players cut in and said something like "no,I don't think it's racism...Charlie Finley treats his white players like n*ggers too".
An interesting moment,IMO.
