God didn't outlaw sin...he gave it to humans as an alternative which had eternal (but negative) consequences.

If God didn't make it illegal (He permits it), why shouldn't we?

Murder? Yes. We should fight it.

But sins of self-indulgence? Shouldn't each man choose on his own whether or not to obey God.
