I was born in 1980 and it’s only over the past couple of years that I started to hear about “people” like Bill Ayers, Saul Ailinski, etc. I’m wondering if a lot of younger people are either unaware of people like this, or are indifferent to them, or worse if they cared what these people did.
I think you’re exceptional. The Vietnam War and the many protests and the radical 60’s violence are merely history items to most young people your age, whereas I lived it, given I am a first year baby boomer, born in ‘46.
God bless and keep you.

A little history....Ayers, the Pentagon bomber, was a neighbor of Obumbo, living across the street. Ayers helped Obama to finance his first home. They are like kissing cousins.
I was a child of the early 70s and it wasn’t until the mid 90s that I heard the back stories on people like Billy and Jane Fonda.

I’m old enough to have heard of the weather underground in real time news. Until about 10-15 years ago, I figured they were all either dead or still in jail. I was surprised to hear they were not and were given any form of legitimacy.
I was born in 1940 and lived through the hippie years. Some of us were called the Silent Majority. We drove with our headlights on in support of our troops in Viet Nam. (not necessarily supporting the govt.) Others rioted, raised hell, and blew up buildings. They were the Bill Ayers of the world. Find someone of my age and pick their brain on the subject.
After you hear of the goings on of that period you will understand why we are where we are today. It was not a pretty time.
