GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - The Affordable Care Act website will be taken down this weekend so experts can try to fix some of the glitches in the system.
24 Hour News 8 also spoke with Representative Fred Upton about the website.
"They're worried about their personal information and that this is a hackers delight and not secure. Secondly, there's already been millions of stories now that show sites aren't ready and people aren't ready to navigate them," said Upton.

LOL! That’s awesome!
“Obama Says our Health Care System Hacked Hints its Extreme Right Wingers.”
Led by “terrorist” and “hostage taker” Ted bin laden.
About the same time the government declares Amtrak, the Post Office, Social Security, Head Start, and the gazillion welfare programs “failures.”
The government does not have failures. It simply didn’t spend enough. If only us stingy curmudgeons had not denied them what they need, everything would be working swimmingly.
It’ll be ready in 24 business hours!
Forewarned!
Obamacare is nothing more than a trillion dollar slush fund for WH insiders and cronies.
INCONVENIENT FACTOID one story surfaced last week that the same crew that got the $634 million contract for the DOA ObamaCare website were former data/media/social media suckups from the Obama campaign.
INCONVENIENT FACTOID Includes suckup Toni Townes-Whitley, Senior Vice President at CGI Federal for Civilian Agency programs, Princeton Class of 1985-—same dumbed-down class as Michelle Obama. Both are members of Association of Black Princeton Alumni.
Taken down? How can you “take down” a site that hasn’t worked previously?
Next I predict the Chocolate Fuhrer will decree a one year moratorium on the requirement to enroll. He will do this to show those Tea Party upstarts who is in charge. He will do by decree what the Republicans tried to legislate in a naked display of power.
I have a couple of questions. After spending hundreds of millions of dollars on computers and software are their really glitches or is this another manufactured crisis? You know you cant let a crisis go by without doing something. Our government deals with one emergency after another. And that seems to be the way they rule. It is very hard to believe that something of this importance to this administration can be so screwed up. The people in this administration are nowhere inept. They are they shrewd like foxes? I believe there is something else cooking in the kettle. Is this something that needs fixed so everyone will get on the same page and fix it? Or is all of this just a smoke screen to keep other things off the table? I dont believe this is an anomaly.
Fix the glitches like you would fix a tomcat.
That’s what I’ve been thinking too...do they not want the bad press about deductabiles, lack of Dr.’s etc? Or something else? This seems purposeful..single-payer here we come! sooner than I thought.
They may know a lot about community organizing but they don’t know squat about IT. I sincerely believe they think they can just say “do it” and voila, it will be done. A system such as this is extremely complex, with scores of interfaces. I have no doubt the requirements were very late and crappy, or non-existent. The best development team in the world couldn’t make a silk purse out of this sow’s ear.
Glitches? And the Titanic had a small leak, right?
LOL. I just posted on another thread that the website should be Cloward-Piven'ed.
Even assuming the site were working perfectly, what would be the effect of people actually seeing the plans available (fat deductibles) and high prices?
I suspect it would be an aftershock bigger than the initial earthquake.
Evidently, a lot of folks don’t yet know the pricing going into effect.
The plan is to allow Obamacare/RINOcare to destroy the private healthcare delivery system so the only practical solution is a single-payor government plan. Should only take a couple of years comrade. Forward!!
Comment at the site:
“After he (Cruz)and the TEATARDS p issed away $24,000,000,000 FOR NOTHING he desearvess lots of credit for shutting down the government so they couldn’t continue to work on these types of things.”
Not surprising to see hateful comments from the left. I have family members who may have written that.
I am going to shut down my time machine this weekend to make some adjustments, too.
That's a good line, false of course, but a clever shift of the blame. Having tried in many state websites to navigate the software (call me an ObamaCare enthusiast, but I try to join up in just about every state daily), I'm amused at the idea that the problem is the suckers not being ready to navigate. No one can navigate a site that loads an error screen so consistently.
