Close. Mitt Romney got more than 60% of the total non-Hispanic White vote that showed up at the polls in 2012.
Some white rural areas that Obama won in 08 but lost in 2012 had Romney getting less votes than McCain. While Romney improved by percentage, he had less votes in and of itself.
