Obama utterly wrote it off in 2012.
Seemed to work out pretty well for him.

White working class voters are nothing but racist crackers in need of a beat down by the black bosses.

A typical article dealing largely with economic issues. As a great historian stated "those who think only in economic terms are forever victims of those who don't." Spengler

Poverty and increasing economic loss flow from the fact that the stupid white American is hellbent on turning over political and social control to blacks and aliens. They are now in the process of consolidating their position-which will take a few years to complete. Both blacks and Hispanics resent our one time success and once dominant role.(I would go so far as to state they hate us not merely resent us.)(By the way all one has to do is listen to their leaders and the one who pops up now and then and observe the attacks on us.))

I guess the only way the White American will learn is through being driven to poverty, lack of education, achieving insults, the assault with intent to kill whites, the rape of white women-preferably in front of husbands and fathers. None of this is "nice" but it is occurring with sufficient frequency so as to presage the future.

People cannot grasp that race is the single most important issue facing America today. It may not be "logical" but it sure is real.

I believe the biggest divide is rural/suburbian people vs. city folk.

If you look at the electoral maps and how people vote, that’s usually how it falls.

People away from the city just want to be left alone, the city folk wants big government help. Unfortunately, the city folks will not leave the rest of us alone right now.

“One of the most talked about groups in recent elections has been the white working class”

Really? I never hear WWC mentioned . .. they are just forgotten and/or taken for granted.

The GOP messed up big time by not courting this group, particularly in the 70s et seq . . . These are the people most negatively affected by racial preferences/quotas, school busing and “choice” Sec. 8 housing, crime, trashed out neighborhoods, shopping, schools. Yet they are expected to take the hits and keep on moving and moving to GTHA from all the BS the elites dump on them.

Liberal and moderate white pols should be called out for hypocrisy. Let them give up their own jobs and Lil Darlin’s admissions. Make them attend the crap public schools rather than condescend on the ordinary Americans. There’s not a reason on Earth anymore why WWC should give an ounce of political power to anyone else. Not one.

Reagan won, Bush the elder won, Dubya won twice. All the Republicans have to do is to stop kicking the Reagan Democrats in the groin and get them back. But that has been a bridge too far as the money party continues to export jobs and factories and the votes that go with that. Stop screwing American citizens with costly wars and nation building and bring the jobs home.

Republicans need not become Democrats. Republicans could become conservatives. Just conserve the American economy and that doesn’t mean cutting government, it means stop cutting American jobs and hiring elsewhere. Be patriotic, put country before money. I’ll wait till they remember the support they once had from the middle family working class. Shutting down government is a sideshow, shutting down factories is the main event.

One fact the author fails to make clear.....

Is he talking about “White” voters, or “non-Hispanic White” voters?

The Census Bureau and many other government agencies and many political polls frequently combine the two, but do not point that out in their data.

Mitt Romney got more than 60% of the total non-Hispanic White vote in 2012.

By any standard, that’s excellent, even if the GOP does not do that well with White working class voters.

There are only two non-Hispanic White groups who do not give a majority vote to Republicans:

(1) Single White working class women

(2) White Women under age 30

Right out of the gate, Henry gets it wrong:

“...it is still very large at nearly 40 percent of the national electorate.”

Nationally, disregarding all the leftist propaganda. whites make up 71%$ of the electorate.

After reading this major fumble by Henry, why read anything else he scribbles?

[Art.] Outside of the South and evangelical outposts, then, the stereotypical Reagan Democrat simply doesn’t exist.

A known and demonstrated sociological and historical fact is made to evaporate in one big "poof!"

Amazing! Well done, Dr. Sardonicus!

We need more Reagan and less Ayn Rand. An example of the mindset that handed the election to Obama was this “makers and takers” nonsense, a not so veiled denigration of the laboring people of this country in contrast to the people who “write the checks”. The Republicans have gone from opposing Democratic class warfare to actively waging one for Thurston Howell. Class warfare is bad citizenship no matter which side it comes from

The left has installed their Chocolate Fuhrer and MSM propaganda has made Conservatives and Christians the new Jews. It wouldn’t surprise me if DHS is working on an armband that we will all have to wear around while the internment camps are being built.

The views of the Midwestern white Catholic working class is as follows. People who work hard, want a job or to keep their job, and take care of their family. Most vote on those issues for the lesser of two evils or don't vote because they view that it isn't worth it.

Outsourcing is still hated with a passion.

Just what is “a hand up”?

The writer has described the group as not having ambitious professional aspirations. It sounds like they just want more compensation for what they already do how they already do it.
