Bring back American jobs first.

The GOP did nothing to improve our insurance.

I do not have a government plan. I rely on one employer to cover me, and jobs are getting hard to find if that goes south.

So yes, I am on balance in favor of Obamacare. That is why I wish Ted Cruz would find another topic to run on.

He got lots of publicity on this one, but frankly I believe there are a lot of solidly Republican people who just do want a fall-back plan, just in case.

I support Obamacare. I am not enthused about it, but I have seen nothing from the GOP to compete.

There is by the way a Republican plan. In the House.

It’s just bottled up there, because the GOP has not passed it.

Just saying.

"So yes, I am on balance in favor of Obamacare"

"I support Obamacare."

A couple of things here.

I am still new, so I don't make a habit of 1) pinging the owner of this forum nor 2) accusing people of being trolls when they have been here longer than I have. But this goes beyond the pale, and warrants both, I think.

You're a co-culprit in the destruction of this nation. I've seen KOS kids say they post on Free Republic all the time, and I'm not sure you aren't one.

Hey, thanks. F the constitution, you’ll trade that for a bigger government, less freedom, and higher taxes.

But you got “yours”. Doesn’t matter how much you are thrilled. You go in one inch in support, you’ve gone in period.

So are you going to be heading over to DU today or what?

Wow! You are an ignorant Statist loving fool.

Obamacare is killing my business. I personally know other business owners laying off people, reducing hours to a 4 day work week (29). This is happening strictly because of Obamacare.

I strongly suggest you move over and stay at the DUmp.

Do you not have the intellectual capacity to understand simple reality staring you in the face?????

The simple reality that government solutions almost always make things worse!!!

Actually the GOP did offer alternatives. Making health insurance portable like your 401k plan. Obamacare is not the answer because like many large Fed Programs it is not financially sustainable. Country is in debt. Fed gov has $ 17 trillion which is equal to the entire annual US GDP. In addition we have $ 70 to 100 trillion in unfunded liabilities. Add to that the US gov will back the Fed Reserve as they guarantee loans and bailout to our banks on investment liabilities in unregulated exchanges and offshore bank deals. We are looking at an additional $ 100 trillion. So in a nutshell the US gov is on the hook for about $ 200 trillion and to give you a perspective the entire world economy is about $ 60 trillion. IAW the entire US debt is equal to 3 to 4 times the entire world economic output. I have not even added the costs of Obamacare to the equation.
Given these financial figures, how long do you think you will be covered by Obamacare?
I do agree with you on jobs. Both parties fail. GOP trusted Wall Street too much and corporations were more then happy to train China and India to replace American jobs. GOP call it captitalism and free trade and Main Street USA too the brunt of it. Dems want big gov to do everything and result is more regulations and higher taxes. Ironically to solve unemployment both parties want amnesty for illegal immigrants and more legal immigrants!!!!!
