Escitalopram is a serotonin selective reuptake inhibitor. Folks being weaned off it should be switched to Prozac or its generic equivalent because it has a longer halflife.
Serotonin withdrawal syndrome, aka Serotonin discontinuation syndrome?

African American women have higher postpartum depression rates than white women ...Could that be related to their higher rate of births outside marriage ... or is that racist? I noticed the item about Ms. Carey's 54-year-old "boyfriend" ... the baby's father who wouldn't marry her, right?

As we can see from this instance, we don’t have a gun problem. We have a mental health problem.

Folks being weaned off it should be switched to Prozac or its generic equivalent because it has a longer halflife. That's exactly what we do around here. Even more essential for Effexor with its gawd-awful 4 hour half life. Oddly the Prozac even seems to handle the "N" part of the SNRI discontinuation, even though it doesn't in itself affect norepinephrine.

Has it ever been reported how many shots hit this poor woman? Rumors said 50 or so.
