Are you an FBI or other alphabet agent? You make about enough sense to be something like that baiting people on the internet. I am just a country girl with really no dog in “this” fight but you are unreal. If it comes to the point where people in numbers large enough to matter are going to war with other people or the government I would imagine their priority would be to win. I don’t think they will fight the nice neat fight that we think of as war now. Otherwise why bother? Would there be large losses of life? Most likely, I can’t imagine otherwise. The thing is when people, not as any part of an organized military decide to take up arms and fight for whatever reason they have been pushed to the point of no return. At that point winning is all that will matter. Lord help us if it comes to that, but I won’t be betting on the outcome. Small numbers have overcome overwhelming forces many times in history so there is no predicting the outcome.

I guess that one wants to win. Part of winning is picking up support. One reason why the pretended Confederacy couldn’t pick up support from other nations was because its existance was based on slavery, and the rapes permitted by that institution, the kidnapping and torture that it required. That institution made the pretended confederacy the bad guys, so bad that Prince Albert on his deathbed got the leaders of the two parties to promise that they would not support the pretended confederacy.

Consider the 9-11 atrocity. Its horrific nature made even our usual rivals support us. consider the Beslin atrocity, or the murders of Muslims at Sarajevo that spurred NATO to protect Muslims from Serbia and Christians in Bosnia.

Consider the murder camps of the Nazi Germans. The discovery of those camps, and the publicity of their atrocities discredited the Nazis and the SS that operated them. There is no SS mythos in Germany as there is among some deluded people in the US and UK.

Consider Iraq. The terrorism of Al Queda in Iraq made it possible for US forces to have the Iraqi people as allies and so the Surge, which focused on protecting the people from the terrorists, was successful.

If you want to win, you must avoid war crimes. You must have courage to do this. Murdering women and children does not take courage.
