That’s my pelvis and the .32cal is lodged right next to the spine. It’s still there. Went in left side, just 2” below belt line, missed all organs, arteries/veins, bones etc. One in a million shot when I was robbed/shot.
Docs in South Miami Trauma Ctr said they’d never seen anything like it. Normally a small cal bullet tumbles around and rips-up organs etc, and the surgeons are inside piecing things back together. I stayed overnight “for observation”, and was released the next afternoon. Carried CCW ever since. I won’t be a victim twice.
Sheesh! Don’t think I ever remember you telling that story.
“Docs in South Miami Trauma Ctr said theyd never seen anything like it.”
There goes God again...
“Carried CCW ever since. I wont be a victim twice.”
I am 100% CCW; have male relatives who hunt; a small few relatives and friends who subscribe to weapons for self defense; nobody I know who is CCW determined. BUT...for the first time in my life (in the past year or two) I am a hair’s breadth away from learning how to shoot myself.
lol; I just committed some grammatical sin. “shoot for myself”; take gun lessons; maybe buy a weapon.
Our country is culturally devolving too fast that owning a weapon for self defense is not eminently, practically wise-—even for me who had never, in the past, even entertained such a scenario.
Question: If you had no guns, what would be your most recommended line of defense? OR, is that too naive a question?
