Former Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison said Wednesday that Ted Cruzs push to shut down the government over Obamacare was doomed from the start, a kamikaze mission that hurt efforts to resolve the countrys debt crisis.
Lack of unanimity, even among the most conservative members of Congress, was a fatal flaw in this, Hutchison said, her most critical comments yet about her successor, Cruz a fellow Republican, tea party darling and vocal leader against the new health care law.
Most Republicans wanted to negotiate on the issue of spending and the debt and the deficit, she said in a Dallas interview. A few people threw in an issue [Obamacare] that you could not win. It was absolutely clear you could not win it.

I think the tea party should change their name to.....Never Vote for an Incumbent Party. That way people could remember who not to vote for.
I hope the Rino’s like all the donations drying up. If they offer no difference from spend spend spend why do they expect any votes?
bottom line, they are no different, they like their power and don’t want to give it up.
Why should anyone follow advice from people who lose elections? John McCain bent over backwards to act like a Dem. Did he win? He lost.
RINO donations are down and the Tea Party groups are raising more money than Karl Rove.
Ann Coulter’s new book is a BIG FLOP.
That’s why they are attacking us.
Why bother even token resistance; the Vichy Republicans and collaborateur should just admit they all want to be Democrats and switch parties and then the media can love them too.
After we were able to get Ted Cruz elected, I have been mad as hell at realizing all those wasted years Kay Bailey was taking up our Senate seat.
She is gone, Thank God
Gotta love the “We can’t do” crowd. If they can’t do, they need to stay home and SHUT UP.
Karl Rove was a BIG loser. What did he have? 300 million to work with? All just a big payoff to the MSM for ads that didn’t work. As long as the MSM sets the agenda for the White House and who they interview, there is no chance. I had a talk with an Obama supporter a few hours ago. They love using the word “teabagging” to insult those who are opposed to Barry’s policies. I asked the guy why he couldn’t make his point without using vulgar name calling? Of course his response is another insult. Bottom line, he admitted he’s doing well from Obama because he’s employed at the Govt. teet and got a citation from Barry for his work. We are supposed to shut up because expressing our displeasure and disagreeing with the President is “hating” and “lying” and “deceitful”. I’m sure that he “supported” the Republican Presidents by not criticizing their policies he didn’t like.
(/s) He tells me his analysis is going over “my head”. The guy ended up using poor English skills and insisting that everyone support and respect the President no matter what he does and says. I think it’s hopeless after talking to dolts like that. Barry is a man. Not a God.
Today I am changing my party affiliation in DE. I want nothing to do with the Do-Nothing Party (worse than the Whigs).
Notice she does not offer a different strategy. Just disses the one conservatives had.
