GOP challenger aims to follow in the footsteps of other Republican firebrands
MT. PLEASANT, S.C. -- In the Republican Liberty Caucus endorsement of state Sen. Lee Bright for the U.S. Senate Wednesday, the groups seemingly mild-mannered, genial state chairman stepped up to a podium here to offer particular praise not usually associated with the pugnacious politician he was feting.
The thing that really stands out for me is that he is a unifier. He can bring together the various aspects, the various segments of the Republican Party of South Carolina, said RLC South Carolina chairman Scott Pearson. And he can do that in a way that our incumbent is not able to do.
In just a few short minutes later, Bright -- who is one of three Republicans challenging Sen. Lindsey Graham in next Junes primary -- blew that notion up all by himself.
I dont believe in compromise, he matter-of-factly told the RLCs gathering of about 35 at a local water plant. I think there is no compromise when it comes between liberty and tyranny.

Of Congress deal to reopen the government after 16 days, Bright blasted his party for capitulation.
We didnt get anything out of the deal. Nothing. We surrendered again, he said.
And he proudly touted the fact that he was the only member of the South Carolina legislature to vote against a popular, bipartisan cigarette tax increase. That was 169 to 1, he said with a grin. A fellow legislator, he recalled, once told him hes about as flexible as concrete.

Time to increase the drumbeat to drum Linda outta da corpse that is the COPe Senate gaggle.
50-50 that he really means it.
Well, that puts him a tick above Nancy Mace at this point for me, then.
“50-50 that he really means it.”
Yes, never trust a politican who’s trying to get elected. But still, the McCain’s and the McConnell’s want candidates running away from Cruz and Lee and Paul. I think the opposite will happen.
Because in the final analysis, does Susan Collins inspire you to storm the gates in defense of liberty? Does John Cornyn? etc?

Lee Bright is saying all the right things to challenge Graham, so did Graham when he made the impassioned speech on the impeachment hearing of Clinton which led to his first term as a Senator.
Mr. Bright needs to reveal ANYTHING and EVERYTHING in his past that could possibly be used against him.
The Graham machine is doing or has already done the research on all his competitors and whatever they find will only surface AFTER we have selected our candidate.
Mr. Bright should also make public ALL donations to his campaign and their origins. It is critically important that they trace back to the original donator because IF they find something in Brights’ past the Graham machine will use it and donate via second and third party to his campaign.
It is my belief, that is how obama beat his competitor in Chicago.
I sure hope Whiny Linda Graham has ordered his packing boxes so he can start packing today along with Eunuch Boner and the Grinning Fool, McConnell.
The GOP-Establishment forgot who they work for a long time ago. They’re about to be reminded.
SCF has been mostly right.
Rubio was a fail.
Ain’t gonna happen. Not until he is facing Lindsey in the runoff. THEN, all will come to light.

Exactly what I stated but IF there is ‘something’, he needs to get out in front of it and explain it in full.
It takes the advandage away from the Graham machine. At the very least, he should hire a good private detective to investigate himself.
Graham a lot of money for reelection but where did it come from? If I were a liberal I would throw money at him just to further the destruction of our state as a Conservative stonghold.
Graham a lot= HAS a lot.
stonghold.= stronghold.
(need to go back to better editing before posting) :(
Can you elaborate? Has she said something against Ted Cruz?
No, but when I looked at their profiles a few weeks back, he was very clear on many of his positions. Her site was a bit light. I haven’t *heard* that she backs Cruz, but since this is the first I’ve heard from him on the subject, it puts him a tick up.
“I havent *heard* that she backs Cruz”
So in last night’s Senate vote, was she one of the 18 who voted NO?
“So in last nights Senate vote, was she one of the 18 who voted NO?”
Do you mean Nancy Mace?
Okay, thanks for clarifying.
“Do you mean Nancy Mace?”
No, I thought that the person under discussion was Susan Collins.
We can count on Collins for one thing only...siding with the dims.
