IMO, this puts the spotlight glaringly on healthcare.gov and Obamacare in general. Come January, if people still cannot register for Obamacare reliably and more information about rate hikes, healthcare workers being fired, the insurance exchange death spiral has begun, etc, we may actually have more leverage to flush this turd.
We will be in mid-term election year, Obama is still a lame duck. Dems will have to decide whether to ride it out or pull the chain.
Sure, but that would have already been the headline 3 weeks now if others things weren't in the news.
So now all the stories will be about getting back to work, fixing the backlog, mowing yards in parks, cleanup, etc.
If your gonna bring up the treat and shutdown .gov, you do it. You don't fold. These guys have done that, and now the White House is bringing up Amnesty again. Joy.
Obama said something the other day that on the surface appears completely delusional and narcissistic (as is typical), but put it together with the reasonable suspicion that the exchange rollout was designed to fail, and... let's just say that there's no ceiling on the obama admin's craft, deceit, and evil.
"My suspicion is what is going to happen is when it's working and everybody is really happy with it, Republicans are going to stop calling it 'Obamacare,'" the president said Tuesday in an interview with New York's WABC TV station.
Obama: Critics will stop calling it Obamacare if it works
This is a manipulator who "won" despite the dud/dead campaign rallies, the altered-state zone-out in the debates, and four years of outright lies including the producing of a brazenly fraudulent BC.
Now I sure don't believe that the Obamanationcare will ever "work", unless of course "work" is defined as a grand Gotcha! that is designed to engulf and enslave the American People, leaving only a small remnant.
The "Health Insurance Marketplace" is so dysfunctional, that at whatever point it appears to spit out rate comparisons and policies, it will seem as if "It's a Miracle!" (Never mind that these policies won't translate into actual health care... but for a time a game can be rigged.)
Is is possible to be too cynical WRT the malevolence of these folks? I don't think so.
