I hope so too... We're going to be going through the same stuff in a couple weeks here in Virginia. If polls are to be believed, Cuccinelli is in for a country whipping, but I'm holding out hope, however flickering, that conservatives will defy the odds and turn out in great numbers and send Fast Terry the Bagman packing. Here in VA, conservatives have strong representation on the entire ticket (Governor, Lt. Governor and Attorney General). If we can't tip the balance for THESE guys against even an a-hole like McAuliffe and the two on his ticket, then it's clear we don't have the numbers anymore and that democrats will rule here for the foreseeable future.
Add to that 67 of the 100 seats in the House of Delegates are occupied by the GOP; in the Bedford district 26-term Lacey Putney (an independent who caucused with the GOP for the past 30-40 years) has retired, and the district is 2/1 conservative; and also in the 4th district (Abingdon & Lebanon), a long time ‘Rat delegate has retired, and, get this, the GOP candidate, a local attorney, is running unopposed. So, the GOP will be out to defend its supermajority in the House.
