#BREAKING: Police arrest airport employee in connection with dry ice explosions at LAX.
@ABC News
-Headline only. Still developing.
Keep us up to date.
Any names yet? Did they have an Obama bumper sticker?
A law enforcement official briefed on the investigation who wasn’t authorized to speak publicly told the Associated Press that 28-year-old Dicarlo Bennett, a Servisair employee, was arrested late Tuesday.
probably not the smartest thing Mr. Dicarlo ever did.
I don’t think the link will work on this thread because it is from the mobile version not desktop.
An employee?!
I never would have guessed.
Not only that, but my attention is drawn elsewhere, to more important matters.
I’ll leave the dog and pony show to the liberals.
Classy employee.
What a damn doofus.
Makes a loud bang and you lose your job.
Reminds me of the idiot Disneyland employee who did the same thing many months back
Twitter link is broken.
Pressure "explosion", not the shrapnel-type from something like a grenade, unless you sealed it in a metal- or ceramic- composure container, but the damage is more on the nerves than physical. Barring any unfortunately-aimed shards.
Again, just guessing. Having seen the odd YouTube vidpost or two...
Facebook page looks scrubbed or he never posted anything.

Why not pop a paper bag behind your bosses head at 6 Am while he is taking a sip of hot coffee?
When dry ice sublimates it turns from a solid to a gas. If the pressure is high enough it turns back into a liquid if it is below the critical temperature. At that temperature however, the pressure is close to 1000 PSI.
So yes, if dry ice is placed in a container when it adsorbs enough heat it will explode when the pressure exceeds what the container can withstand.
Much ado about nothing. If this is the only reason we have airport cops chasing this, then we are doomed. The dinosaur media once again shows its idiocy.
Amish numb-nuts.
Works fine for me on my PC.
confine it in a closed container and as it begins to warm up and vaporize the pressure builds. Does this answer your question....?
They ARE the airport cops!
That is the problem!
Yup. I was thinking of a high explosive event. Dry ice isn’t a high explosive.
