The top officer and enlisted soldier for the 143rd Expeditionary Sustainment Command have been temporarily suspended, officials announced Monday.
Brig. Gen. Bryan W. Wampler, the commanding general, and Command Sgt. Maj. Don B. Jordan were suspended Oct. 10 pending an ongoing investigation, said Maj. Thomas Campbell, a spokesman for the 1st Theater Sustainment Command.
The 143rd ESC falls under the 1st TSC.
Campbell said he could not discuss the ongoing investigation, but he did say it is not related to any criminal misconduct.
The 143rd is currently deployed to Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. Wampler took command of the 143rd in January, according to his bio on the Army Reserve website.
As of Monday, Wampler and Jordan remained in Kuwait, Campbell said.
Col. Christopher P. Govekar, the 143rd’s deputy commander, has temporarily assumed duties as the commander of the unit, Campbell said.
“There will not be any impact to the soldiers, families and civilian workforce of the 143rd ESC,” Campbell said. “The command’s current mission within the United States and abroad remains unaffected by this development.”
Wampler has served more than 27 years as a commissioned officer, according to his Army Reserve bio. He has commanded at various levels, and most recently served as commander of the 78th Training Division.
Jordan, who enlisted in the Army in 1982, has served as an airborne infantry rifle team leader and squad leader, a senior drill sergeant, a first sergeant, and as command sergeant major at the battalion and brigade levels, according to his Army Reserve bio. His deployments include tours in Afghanistan and Djibouti, Africa.

It is simple. Obama is replacing the Armed Forces officers and key personnel with his yes men.
Purging conservatives from the leadership ranks and installing party apparatchiks and gay apparatchiks.
Doesn’t take a visionary to figure out whats going on. Christianity under attack in the Military + an increase in High Level Command Officers being fired/dismissed.
Liberals are making the military in their own image. God help us all.

Seems that there is a coup d’etat going on within this administration. Looking like the old communist style of the removal of those that are not towing the line.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news to all the conspiracy theorists out there, but there is no purge ongoing and this is certainly not evidence of any such thing. Brigadier Generals and Command Sergeants Major are not high enough up on the food chain to be visible to the political power base in Washington. No one inside the beltway has any idea who these two muldoons are.
Most likely, they became aware of some infraction within their command and either ignored it, or exercised undo command influence on the adjudication.
In my opinion, we are not sacking enough Generals and Admirals.

obumbler is all hung up on spotless moral character and brilliant performance in the line of duty.
But not in the justice department.
Not in the IRS.
Not in the Department of Homeland Security.
Not in the Health Department, or whatever it is called now.
Not in the National Park service.
Not in the Immigration department.

Kind of like the preposterous idea that we would arrest veterans for going to see the WWII memorial...or close the parks or stop fishing in the Keys..
Or forbid priests, rabbis, ministers or whatever from holding services on military facilities.
Or censoring TV for armed forces overseas.
No one would do that, would they?
