PRUDEN: Frying eggheads on a hot stove
The Washington Times ^ | 10/14/13 | Wesley Pruden

Why are intellectuals, sometimes the most intelligent among us, so dumb? This is the question that confounds everyone; some intellectuals most of all. The late William F. Buckley Jr., a certified egghead, once said he would rather be governed by the first 50 names in the Boston telephone book than by the professors at Harvard. Another wit observes that an intellectual is someone who so prefers theory over experience that he would sit down on a red-hot stove, twice. You can be too smart for your own good, and have the blisters on your bottom to prove it. The intellectual romance with the clever Barack Obama continues. Having invested so much in candy and flowers, they must ignore all the evidence of being dumped.

Common sense told anyone with half a brain that Obama was just a shill for the radical left and that his election would be a complete and total disaster for America!...but then again we all know what the radical left thinks of America. All radical leftists be damned!!!

Nothing is so incredibly stupid as an “educated” Ivy League graduate. They are insufferably arrogant, predictable, boorish, ignorant of the real world, and credulous.

because stupid people don't know they are stupid. and far too many people including 98% of politicians think that because they are smart in one area they are smart in all areas.

The stupidity is in calling them dumb.

Face the facts - they are all highly intelligent, and are doing evil.

Therefore, they are evil.

Not stupid.

Evil.

That is also one of my pet peeves. The stupid/dumb/clueless tags "define evil down" and understate the danger. These people know exactly what they want to do, and they - very successfully - do it.
