Mom & Dad are the two best people I've ever known. Mom (RN) passed 5/2/12. She and Dad were married 66yrs. Both were in WWII; she as Lt in Army Nurse Corps, and Dad as platoon Sgt at Normandy on D-Day with Army Combat Engineers and w/ Patton's 3rd Corps, Yankee Division Army Combat Engineers in Battle of Bulge, Ardennes, Bastogne etc. Silver Star, Bronze Star, Purple Heart and many European Theater awards, shot by nazi sniper while carrying wounded GIs our of line-of-fire, he's immortalized on this special tribute to "The Heros Who Walk Among Us" in York (crossbeam from WTC):

Thank you for telling me that. I’m privileged to read that. Bless both your parents.
There’s a WWII vet that works at our local Walmart. He wear his hat and has a scrap book with him. I wish the younger people would listen to his story. He’s 94
