I was offered a couple scholarships from the military, and for a couple reasons I had to decline them. I sometimes wonder if I would have been able to do as Mag did. I believed that I wasn’t tough enough and the minute I was yelled at, I’d start crying.

I saw an old re-run of Burns & Allen once. Gracie was in the living room when Sheldon Leonard comes creeping in, dressed like the stereotypical burglar. When they see each other he says, “are you alone?” She says no.
