Reid said on the floor that the new House GOP plan — which includes a number of Obamacare-related provisions and omits instructions for a budget conference — is “unproductive” and “a waste of time,” suggesting its only purpose was to cater to tea party conservatives and preserve Boehner’s speakership.”

Here Bohner has a great idea because if the GOP knew how to fight like Dems do they would all get on TV and call Reid out for trying to protect his own special subsidy, with the above complaint by him.

My question is why didn't the House GOP do this before now?

A move like this is not going to help the GOP unless they are capable of explaining it, and fight like Dems, coordinate your message.

Yes. It's the GOPe's dirty little secret, and you nailed it. They don't want small government, they want big government, with themselves in charge of it. And every perk they can grab for themselves on the way.
