The schools are not closed for Christmas and Easter. They are closed for Spring and Winter break.
If they close for a Muslim religious holiday, what excuse will they use? Fall break? Seasonal season?
It cannot be made into religious exception to the school year without making a formal statement that yes, indeed, Spring break is Easter break and winter break is Christmas break.

Muslim leaders have started a petition in recent weeks and have won support from some elected leaders and religious groups. Of course they have! They ARE in Maryland after all.

Right. I’m not opposed to private religious schools of other faiths not having Christmas decorations. But even Catholic Schools have gone secular. No way — parernts of religious schools should have the option of them being in RELIGIOUS classrooms.
