Just checking in. 6:45 AM...We spent the night one our resorts, as we have no water at home. Pipes under the road were apparently broken. All is OK here, and no more aftershocks.
Will check back in when we get back home this morning.
Just now watching video on national TV here, with scenes from
our town, Dalaguete. There was some damage to the very old church.
Thanks for the concern and prayers from all FReepers. I was amazed at the number of threads and folks with interest.

All WILL be fine here.

Perhaps this event is forecasting a volcanic event.

I spent two weeks touring the Philippines on a travel writers’ press trip back in the 70s. Absolutely loved the country, and they loved me too...printed my stuff in their official travel magazine. One of my fave photos of me has Pinatubo in the background. We did go to Cebu, and also Zamboanga, where even back then, we had bodyguards.

I don’t envy you the earthquake and aftershocks, hang in. Other than these inconveniences, I hope you are enjoying a wonderful life there.
