You're instincts are exactly right. This was the proverbial "Shot across the bow", right up there with barrackading the war memorials. It was a quick and subtle "Look what I can do", just enough to make someone know just how far over the edge we are hanging, and what could happen if the real push is given.

The low-information voters are barry-boy's brown-shirts. When he give the nudge, it will make the Night of the Broken Glass look like a picnic...

Yep.

Unfortunately, too many of us have been trained to only see these things as discreet and separate parts and not as pieces of the whole that they are.

but picnics require food, which they can’t supply on their own...and about 24 hours after they’ve emptied all the shelves in town, they’re finished.
