Thanks. It’s taken 5-6 weeks from design to build. The landscaping goes in last after topsoil addition and regrading. I’ll have pics of it before/during/finished; the transformation will be amazing.

It’s a $1,000 diamond-tipped, gas-powered Stihl stone saw; blades alone are $350 each and good for 1-2 medium jobs. Wearing eye protection and a HD respirator are critical. It has a water hose inlet to cut down on dust emission particulates, but leaves a slurry of cuttings which if dried, are a bear to clean-up. You cut 346” at a time, VERY CAREFULLY. That’s why I always have plenty of extra block/brick on-hand, for any errors and breakage. Take it slow, watch every second, and don’t get distracted, or you have a serious problem.

My former uncle in law had a back yard that he cared for such that he build a 5 hole putting gren on it. Every Thanksgivings day, he had a putting chllenge for the family. A couple pro courses tried to buy the grass from hi to use on their greens.

I have toyed around with lapidary work.
Cut stones by hand and inlaid them into wood carvings.
Purely art, but satisfying.

Figuring the math is where I get bound up sometimes, Not that I cant do the math, but sometimes the right and left hemispheres just get at odds.
