They had little or no funds in their EBT accounts.
They were only able to use their cards because the EBT system was down and the cards artificially had no limits, and Wal-Mart foolishly decided to be nice.
They were trying to check out before the system came back on line, so they could get the stuff for “free”.

I’ve read several places that the social makeup of shoppers changed dramatically when the EBT failed. I know it is racist to say that even if true - a real shame that truth is racist but it seems to be a statement of fact. Maybe all the poor on EBT were there yesterday...and did not try to take advantage of the situation. Mercy, we are in such a mess! People have no morals anymore less shame!
