If you looked closely during the video you will notice they have standard issue Metro Police sidearms, probably Glocks, other than that you're not far off in your assessment.
I heard one reference to a Taser, and saw the butt of one side arm on the bicycle cops, other than that the videography was pretty poor.
Perhaps your eyes are sharper, or perhaps you are referring to the few real cops in black, mixed in with real helmets, real face shields and real thick jackets.
The sacrificial piggies in thin blue windbreakers had little flex batons in their nervous sweaty hands and not much else in evidence.

That said, the FReeper code of conduct is to obey all lawful orders. This includes veterans.

In my initial post on this thread, I called them “out of step Mall cops in training”. I should have added “with Glocks, batons and bike helmets”. LOL!
