The Insiders: Obamacare is a blemish on American technology
Washington Post ^ | October 11, 2013 | Ed Rogers

What the president heralds as his signature accomplishment is not only creating great domestic upheaval as a political and policy failure, it is also an immense American technological failure on display for the world to see.

The American brand has been dealt some sharp blows under this administration. We are suffering from a weak economy, reeling from the recent embarrassing debacle over Syria’s chemical weapons, and we still haven’t brought anyone to justice over what happened in Benghazi. The world watched as our enemies protected junior nobody Edward Snowden when he handed over our secrets, and now the world is witnessing unbecoming squabbling in Washington as our government remains shut down. We also have to contend with this unflattering picture of American technological capabilities. We may have invented the Internet, but our position as the leader in computer and software development has suffered a setback.

So far, President Obama, HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, Press Secretary Jay Carney and the rest of Team Obama are just glossing over the troubles of the Obamacare Web site. If this administration holds true to form, it will eventually find someone else to blame — whether it’s President George W. Bush or Republicans generally.

What I am curious about is HOW MUCH the ObamaCare software development company donated to the Obama campaign. This sounds like the Solyndra of software development. And the wasted bucks on each are similar. 500 million plus.

As usual, the Post tries to deflect blame away from the real source: GOVERNMENT technological failure.

Why was it outsourced to a Canadian company with a track record of failure?

No way that the Community Organizer gave the software contract to a company that did not provide big kickbacks in the form of a campaign donation. It’s the Chicago Way. So an incompetent company was awarded the contract simply for paying the biggest kickback.

PHOOEY, PHOOEY, and PHOOEY again!!!!

On top of that.... The original contract was for 93 million (way too high even then)... But it ballooned to 638 million dollars with cost overruns, which were never questioned, and happily paid.

I’d go a step beyond ‘campaign donation kickbacks’ and say there is at least 100 million in a secret numbered account somewhere and 0bama is the one that has the number.

And the Obamabastard is a blight on the freedom and integrity of America.

And I’m sick and tired of other bastards like the Bushes and McCains defending this cancer.

Technology did not fail. People failed trying to implement a failed law, passed by the failed Democrats in Congress and signed by a failed community organizer posing as President.

I’m glad the Wash Post is aware of this.

That web-site cost $634 million dollars....where did that money come from and since it doesn't work, how much is Obama spending to patch it up?

There is a pattern here of Obama pay-back for money spent for his campaign....by the way, research the Propaganda about President Bush...he was never as bad as we are led to believe...George W. Bush was a good and loyal president...the propaganda machine to tarnish him is still up and running...Don't Buy It! Research it!

These foul creatures in Big Media try to besmirch American technology? This is a failure of the Golden Boy they foisted on us. And the Asian programmers hired by the government contractor to cobble this junk together.

These bustards wake up ever morning and think, what can I do today to wreck this country,

I would imagine, CGI, one of main contractors does.. They have built many financial systems throughout Federal government and need big govt to survive.
