“Everglades.”

The signature feature of the Everglades is it’s wet. Cats don’t like the wet. So, they’ll go where it’s nicer. We had some awesomely huge cat living in the woods near my home in Sarasota several years ago. From the coloration I thought it might be a very young Florida Panther. It so frightened the local cats and dogs that they ran and hid when it was around. It noshed off the food people put out for their pets and probably got a few of the pets too.

One day they cleared the woods and started building an old folks assisted living facility. That’s when I moved, so I don’t know what happened with the “cat.” But my guess is it’s the world’s most dangerous feral cat.

Yup...I live in Brandon, a small panther was hit by a women on Hwy 301 near Riverview a few months ago...she thought it was a cat, put in her van to take home and take care of it...

The "cat" was not amused when it finally woke up...

The area it was hit was urban but there is housing developments, trailer parks, retail all around it...
