I know. But the average low-info person is not necessarily seeing with a critical eye. An example: I was talking to a friend who is a les bien about Victor/Victoria. She actually said she was surprised that Robert Preston was gay, believing that he was what the role he played was. People do not think critically. Robert Preston was an actor playing a gay man. That does not mean he was gay. She made that leap without any additional info.

People believe what they see in the movies.

Art can’t worry about those people. It would be pandering. There were people who were shocked that Titanic was actually a real ship. Morons.
