Well I do not think his gambit will work. He is trying to get it through the Controlling Board which goes with the R dominated legislature (which will not help Kasich so he is trying to by-pass them). They will turn him down. Kasich is trying to show he is a “compassionate conservative” ala Karl River & Dubya. Kasich has no real opposition for 2014 race for re-election so he is tacking left to help him become electible as an R candidate for President. (Which hopefully will not work either). He is a whore, pure & simple (like McCain and many others in our ranks).
The Ohio GOPe does not give us anyone to choose from. They have had the state under locked down tight for decades; right right down to the precinct captains. Almost no tolerance for true conservative principles.
That's how we end up with people like the back stabbin pimp Kasich. He even voted for Bill Clinton's semi auto bna back in the 90s.
